My love affair with Rose Cousins

Rose Cousins - The Send OffEarlier this month I had the amazing opportunity to work with Rose Cousins and producer, Luke Doucet. I tweeted about it, but I was too busy to keep everything up to date. In fact, I hadn’t updated this website in over two months because I’ve simply been too busy (or maybe I just haven’t made the time for it — depends on how you look at it).

Rose, Luke and the musicians they brought though the studio were great. I am really looking forward to hearing the entire record. I only worked on six or seven of the songs at Catherine North. The rest of the album was recorded in Toronto with John Dinsmore. David Travers-Smith mixed the album, and from the samples I’ve heard of Rose’s website, things sound great.

Rose’s Toronto CD release is coming up this week (Wednesday, October 21) at Hugh’s Room. I can’t wait.

Great show last night at Hugh’s Room! It was nice to see the room so packed. Lots of terrific guest performers too.

Thanks! It was a pleasure working on that project. Rose and Luke brought in some great musicians… and David Travers-Smith did a great job on the mix.
