The Rest record release April 24 in Toronto

The Rest are having their record release party for Everyone All At Once tomorrow night at The Tranzac Club (292 Brunswick Ave.) in Toronto. Dan Achen and I recorded the album at Catherine North Studios in Hamilton. Opening acts Amanda Zelina and Ketch Harbour Wolves are not to be missed.

The Rakes’ 1989 remix

I was first introduced to London-based band The Rakes a couple of years ago when my partner Kathleen downloaded a copy of the song “Work, Work, Work (Pub, Club, Sleep).” A few weeks ago the band uploaded individual tracks (vocals, guitar, drums, etc.) of the song “1989” from their latest release, Klang, on SoundCloud. I couldn’t help but try a remix myself.
